CMS plan year 2026 file, non-smoker, full price before tax credits; individual in-network medical deductible. Statewide, 11 plans had a $0 deductible (9 Gold and 2 Expanded Bronze), available in 37 of 83 counties.[1] A $0 deductible doesn’t mean $0 cost: copays and coinsurance still apply up to the out-of-pocket limit.[2]

When a low deductible is worth it

  • Add up the whole year. Compare premiums plus what you expect to pay for care, not just the monthly price.[2,3]
  • Know the cap. For 2027, a Marketplace plan’s out-of-pocket limit can be no more than $12,000 for one person or $24,000 for a family.[4]
  • Check income first. If your income is up to 250% of the poverty level, a Silver plan with extra savings may beat Gold on deductible.[5] See Bronze vs. Silver.
  • Your tax credit works on Gold too. It’s figured from the benchmark Silver plan, then applied to the plan you choose.[6] Managing a condition? See choosing a plan with a chronic condition.
