Doctors and hospitals: check the network first
Ann Arbor’s major hospitals are University of Michigan Health (Michigan Medicine) and Trinity Health Ann Arbor (formerly St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor). [Trinity Health Michigan; U-M Health]
Most Washtenaw plans are HMOs (50 of 59 in 2026), and not every HMO network includes every Ann Arbor system. If staying with a particular U-M or Trinity Health doctor matters to you, we check that doctor in each insurer’s 2027 directory before you choose. We don’t promise any provider is in a given network.
